ABOUT MAYOR LINDSEY
Frankie Lindsey is a lifelong resident of Geneva and graduated from Geneva High School, Class of 1968. In 1970, Frankie married Patricia Bynum, also of Geneva. They have one son, Deputy Chief Chad Lindsey (Tobi) of Panana City Beach, Florida. They also have 2 grandchildren, Tabitha Precise (Jonathan) of Geneva, and Austin Lindsey of Panama City Beach, Florida, and two great-grandchildren, Ryder and Annie Precise.
Frankie began his career in law enforcement in 1974 with the Geneva County Sheriff's Department. In 1979, he was appointed Chief Investigator for the 33rd Judicial Circuit District Attorney's Office. Frankie was appointed Chief of Police of Geneva, Alabama in March of 1991 where he served until January 1, 2015. He received his Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Southwest University in Kenner, Louisiana. He graduated from the National District Attorney Investigator's College and the FBI Southeastern Law Enforcement Executive Development School, and obtained his designation as a certified professional law enforcement manager from the University of Alabama. Frankie served as a Board Member of the Alabama Peace Officers Hall of Fame and was Vice President of the Alabama Peace Officers Association, where he received numerous awards and honors. He was presented the Distinguished Service Award from the Alabama Department of Public Safety and the Award For Valor from the United States Attorney for the Middle District of Alabama.
